I Think of You
As I close my eyes
And leave the wake world behind
I think of you.
Your eyes, your smile
The way you look at me
And how it makes me feel.
I think of you; our time together
The tears and the laughter
Our voices and the silence.
I think of how it would feel
To hold you in my arms
To know that you are mine.
As I lay here
Dreaming of these things
I say a silent prayer.
I pray that someday
This dream will come true
And I'll lay here, holding you.
